Chef Stephani-Anne Klassen started this business from her and a friend, a fellow mom not from Erie, deciding to “give a crepe about Erie” (Hence our Motto) for our kids, as well as how spinning out crepes just makes sense. And if it makes sense to her, she figured they could make sense for more people too. With our motto/mission statement being “Giving a crepe about Erie” the business is involved with multiple non-profits supporting Erie city and county.
Give A Crepe La CrepErie’s first pop-up was on October 6th, 2016. This October we will be celebrating 10 years of being in business. Starting this experiment by asking if she could make crepes, and responding, “I have recipes and a name….”
From starting as a monthly pop-up, to multiple in a month, to going to the Erie Art Museum 2018 to 2019, to our carry-out location on Peach Street for 6 days a week 2019-2024, to a sit-down location 1909 Chestnut Street 6 days a week with outdoor seating, and indoor seating. We still offer catering but no longer are a mobile food vendor.
